Lagoon City is an official Canadian Resort village located on the east side
of Lake Simcoe. All property fronts onto a series of
lagoons connected to Lake Simcoe and the Trent River waterway. The location is 15 minutes from Orillia and Casino Rama and only 1.5 hours drive from downtown Toronto. An Historical Overview of Lagoon City
The 1600 acres which today make up Lagoon City Resort were previously unusable swampland. Roughly 400 years ago the surrounding area was occupied by the Indians of the Huron nation whose capital, Cahiague, was located a few miles north of Lagoon City near what is currently the town of Warminster. At that time, the population of the Huron people exceeded 20,000 and was believed to be the largest concentration of Indians in all of North America.

Lagoon City Yacht Club
The Lagoon City Yacht Club is open to both residents and non-residents of Lagoon City and offers both "Senior" and "Social" family memberships. There are no additional fees for spouses and dependent children. As can be seen below, our fees are amongst the lowest you will find in southern Ontario!
Lagoon City Yacht Club members dock their boats in the heart of Lagoon City, a unique marine environment consisting of an extensive system of lagoons enabling boaters to moor their boats in sheltered and calm waters. Members of Lagoon City Yacht Club enjoy sailing camaraderie along with a full range of seasonal activities that begin with launch in early May and conclude with the annual Awards Dinner in mid October.
The Lagoon City Community Association
The Lagoon City Community Assoc. (L.C.C.A) is an active group which promotes and supports the Community Social Activities for all members to enjoy (various Special Events, Dances, BBq's, and
hobbies like Dart league/Bowling/Golf /Euchre/Bridge to name a few).
Our community association has a membership of about 450 households. We own our community centre, which is the hub of activity for our members. There is at least one activity going on each day of the week. We produce ten newsletters a year which are very professional looking and extremely informative...
The Harbour Inn
The Harbour Inn & Resort Club located in Lagoon City on the beautiful shores of Lake Simcoe in Ontario is Canada’s first Timeshare Resort.
Originally built in 1979, the resort consists of 43 units in total. Each condominium unit is individually owned by the week complete with deed and title. Each owner has the option of becoming a member of Resort Condominiums International one of the largest Vacation Exchange companies in the world with access to thousands of resorts in countries all around the world.
Extensive renovation, comfortably appointed units and the excellent service of the Resort staff have earned Harbour Inn the Award of International Distinction with RCI - RID award years is from 1998 through 2004. Many of the owners and exchange guests have become part of the Resort family, corresponding regularly with each other throughout the years.
